G Force Calculator
Use this calculator (requires Javascript) to determine the g force during centrifugation based on the speed and the radius. For a 2-sector centerpiece, the midpoint radius is approximately 6.5 centimeters, the outside radius is approximately 7.15 centimeters. Depending on loading volume, the inside radius may be from 5.9 to 6.1 centimeters for a typical velocity experiment.
